Reports also surfaced last year that Netflix was testing a higher priced "Ultra" tier as well as a less expensive tier in certain regions. The company, which is the world’s largest paid streaming service by far, will increase prices by about 1 to 2 a month in five markets including the U.K. And Netflix has emphasized how important original programming is to its competitive standing.
